The Company

My client is a family owned business established over 50 years ago. They are a leading domestic landscape business based in the West Midlands. As part of the company's ambitious growth and diversification plans, they have expanded their Wholesale Cash & Carry operations at their 7- acre Nursery site. The company has plans to expand further its trading activity into the landscape market.

This has created an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated person with a can-do attitude to join their friendly, people focused team.

Purpose of the Role

To assist the nursery in the production of a range of perennials, trees and shrubs while also maintaining quality of traded stock.

The role requires a person with experience and a pro active approach to nursery work. You will be expected to work closely with the sales team to achieve required quality for sale.

Key responsibilities

Assist plant health, production, and stock rotation Maintaining the stocks cultural requirements, ie weeding, feeding, pruning, spraying tying etc. Maintain quality and appearance of stock on cash & carry site Make sure that the nursery is always tidy and looks appealing to visiting customers. Work with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the company. Ensure all equipment is maintained and stored safely. Occasionally provide cover in other areas of the business.

Requirements

Previous experience of growing nursery stock Full UK Driving licence PA1 Spraying certificate PA6 Spraying certificate Hard Working, Reliable, Enthusiastic Able to work within a team environment Able to use their own initiative Able to communicate with other team members and clients Self motivated, Punctual

Job Details

Working hours:

8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (Due to the nature of the role a flexible approach to these hours is required)

Job Type:

Full-Time based on a standard 40-hour week (some overtime will be required)
