Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Develop and implement engaging learning activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of each child. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Support the management team in maintaining a high standard of nursery practice, including health and safety protocols. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to create a warm, welcoming environment for children. Driving licence preferred to facilitate travel between locations if necessary. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
