About Us

Brook Infant School and Nursery





We are a two-form entry Infant School with a private Nursery attached. We also provide a Breakfast and Afterschool club to the school and local schools. Located in Maidenbower the school is in a modern building that opened in 1999. We have access to a Woodlands where we can teacher forest schools to all the children.

We provide a creative and purposeful curriculum that draws on children's interests, provides them with key skills for life-long learning and enables them to become effective future citizens in this ever evolving 21st century.



Children learn through our exciting and stimulating indoor and outdoor environments. They have access to a wide range of resources that allow them to develop skills such as problem solving, collaborative work, challenge and resilience.

Job Details



We are looking to appoint a Nursery Practitioner on a fixed term contract starting in September 2025:


Pay scale:

Grade 4, Point 5 to 6 (24,790 to 25,183 pro rata) plus Crawley Weighting. Approx.13.14 per hour, pay award pending.


Hours:

1 x 34 hours per week fixed term contract from 3rd September 2025 to 22nd July 2026



[08.15 - 15.15 per day for 5 days, less 30 mins lunch, plus 1 hour meeting on a Monday and 30 minutes paperwork.]



There is a possibility that this will continue into the next academic year depending on pupil numbers.

We are an amazing infant school and nursery set in the heart of Maidenbower that seeks an outstanding, enthusiastic, flexible and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our warm, vibrant and friendly school. We offer nursery care to families from 07:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday during term time.



This provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Nursery team to continue to deliver excellent care for the children in our Nursery.

What You Need to Succeed
