Salary: 14.80 + per hour 30,784 per annum for a 40 hour week or more with greater experience or higher level qualifications.

About you

Level 3 Childcare Qualification and love working with young children.

Passion for tuning in to children and encouraging each child to extend their learning and develop skills for life.

Positive, imaginative and tidy, team worker who is energetic and committed to see tasks through.

Warm, loving and understanding of the needs of children, parents and other team members.

You will be thoughtful, able to self regulate, reflective and able to take a positive approach to problem solving and look for solutions.

Ideally you will be keen on leading physical activity / dance sessions for children, a willingness to do this however badly you think you do it, is essential.

Under 3's at minihome

They are excellent fun, enjoying dancing, singing, having a messy time indoors and outdoors. Adults in this group get the support to go out in the local area, to the park, the corner shop, library and market with 4 to 6 children and 2 to 3 staff on a daily basis.

If you are in this room you will be the key person for at least 4 children

Children have a great deal of freedom of choice in a well prepared environment, your input to plan and maintain an engaging environment with challenging activities will be a key part of your role.

Currently sessional teachers come in to teach French and music/singing.

Pre School

This is a team of 3 with 12 - 18 children

If you are in this room you will be the key person for at least 8 children

Children have a great deal of freedom of choice in a well prepared environment, your input to plan and maintain an engaging environment with challenging activities will be a key part of your role.

This group goes out in the local area twice each day and uses a large studio space for indoor physical sessions as well as using the nursery garden and chicken garden. You must be prepared to be outside every day in all weathers for periods of time.

Currently sessional teachers come in to teach French, yoga, capoeira and gardening.

Activities provided by the team focus on building skills and knowledge and understanding across a very broad curriculum taking advantage of the skills and passions that the team bring. This has included mindfulness, , science, creative arts, music, dance, yoga, sports and cultural events and festivals.

We are on a journey to embed an awareness of feelings and emotions and how to respond to them in creative and positive ways.
