Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse required for Caledonian University Nursery

We are based within the Caledonian University campus in the city centre (just behind Buchanan bus station) with good public transport links. We provide childcare to all staff and students within Caledonian University.

We are recruiting for a full time Qualified Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse and require an experienced and enthusiastic individual to work and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We will pay a competitive rate of pay depending on experience.

Responsibilities will include ensuring that provision is of the highest quality through providing a safe, stimulating, caring and child-centered learning environment.

The successful individual will have the following qualifications, training and experience:

Minimum HNC/SVQ level 3 in a relevant childcare qualification and ability to register with SSSC. Have experience of planning, observations and assessments as well as preparing and undertaking learning experiences both indoors and out that support children's learning and development. Have knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to Three curriculum Have knowledge of GIRFEC and Realising the Ambition
The Nursery is open Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm for 50 weeks of the year and shifts will vary within these times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.60 per hour
