Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. You will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and early childhood education, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and compassionate care to children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities. Ensure the nursery is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times. Drive initiatives that encourage children's curiosity and creativity.

Experience

Previous experience in childcare or a nursery setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate children. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development. A valid driving licence would be advantageous but not essential.
