We are looking to recruit an experienced level 3 qualified staff member for a full time position here at Blossoms Day Nursery, as we expand our team. The role is with full key person responsibilities and meeting the individual targets of the Child.
Essential Experience/criteria:
Minimum of 2 years experience within a private day nursery
Willing to take on new training
Desired Experience/criteria:
Famly/online learning journals
Paediatric First Aid Qualification
Blossoms Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All successful applicants will be required to complete and pay for an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check and register with the update service. The DBS must be maintained throughout the period of employment.
Immediate start desired.
Rate of pay dependant upon age and experience. Company discount scheme in place for childcare.
The fun bit:
You need to be innovative and fun in your approach and show you can multi task, there is also an expectation you will carry out key person responsibilities such as observing and carrying out activities with children, and setting out and providing experiences that will stretch and challenge our little Blossoms.
Apart from the usual paperwork, knowledge of legislation and the EYFS, confidence and ability to be a great team player, you MUST also have the following before applying:
Have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
Be able to laugh at jokes you do not understand, or find funny!
Preferably have a little bit of quirkiness, If a child requests you to be a captain of a pirate ship you will be the best Capitan you can be!
The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune and to a crow is essential!
You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required.
Processing skills to rapidly count the heads of numerous small moving children is essential
You just be prepared to have lots of fun (as well as work hard!) in the work place. Laughter is something you can expect to engage for a large part of your working day.
