Little Hassocks is a brand-new specialist under 2's unit on Keymer Road, designed to provide the highest level of care in a purpose-built environment. The Nursery features age-appropriate equipment, a dedicated sleep room, a dining area, and a spacious open-plan playroom catering to all areas of early learning. A specially designed soft play and physical development room supports our youngest children in developing their confidence in balance, walking, running, and climbing in a safe and stimulating setting.

Nursery Practitioner

, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and Early Years education for young children. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will follow the EYFS framework to support children's individual development and build strong relationships with both families and colleagues.

Main Duties:

Provide immediate care for every child and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities Act as a key person, monitoring and recording children's progress Maintain up-to-date Learning Journeys and individual planning Support personal care, hygiene, and mealtimes Promote positive relationships with children, parents, and staff Follow safeguarding procedures and monitor child wellbeing Ensure the room is clean, safe, and well-resourced Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies Encourage free flow play to support independence and confidence Participate in training and ongoing professional development

Requirements:

A minimum of level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent Experience of working in a childcare setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Hours & Pay:

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 13.50-14.43 per hour
