Job Description

My client in haywards heath is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to work full time. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 qualification in a UK recognised early years qualification.

We're looking for a full time Nursery Practitioner to work 40 hours (fully flexible)

Main Duties:

Liaising with parents/carers as appropriate Implementation and delivery of the EYFS. Participate in professional development and training. Share good practise with other childcare practice with colleagues, display exemplary behaviour and act as a role model Provide high quality care and activities for children which recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment. Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourages creativity, development, co-ordination, independence, self-expression, and learning through play. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EYFS framework (including the Safeguarding & Welfare Requirements), for guidance in your practice. Work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising that parents are their children's first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery. Be aware of Safeguarding issues and follow the nursery's Safeguarding procedures. Ensure close monitoring of children about whom there are concerns. Prepare and serve food and drinks for children, encouraging good nutrition and sociable eating. Assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with potty training and other associated welfare duties. Carry out on-going cleaning of the nursery, toys and equipment. Fully comply with the nursery's outings policy to ensure the safety of children outside nursery premises.

Requirements:

A minimum of level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
