Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. Your ability to communicate effectively, lead activities, and manage children's needs will be essential in fostering their development.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring each child's individual needs are met. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and share with parents. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities to ensure a smooth flow throughout the day. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that adheres to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive team atmosphere that supports professional growth and development.

Experience

A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with children and parents. A genuine passion for childcare and the drive to create an enriching learning environment for young children is crucial.
