About Us:

Smiley Happy People is dedicated to providing flexible, year-round childcare to support families. Due to our growing popularity, we are looking for dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join our expanding team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator for a full-time position (35-40 hours per week), year-round. We also consider job share options to accommodate different needs. You will follow the direction of the Room Leader to ensure a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment. Building strong rapport with colleagues, children, and their guardians, you will have the opportunity to bring your unique ideas and personality to the setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Follow daily routines led by the Room Leader.

- Ensure the room is attractive, has relevant resources and is safe.

- Liaise with Room Leaders and the Setting Manager.

- Establish relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

- Plan for your key children and keep paperwork up to date.

- Adhere to risk assessments, policies, procedures, GDPR, and health & safety checks.

Essentials:

- Previous experience in a nursery or early childhood education setting.

- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

- Recognized qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education (minimum Level 2).

- A clear DBS check.

- A full, clean driving license is essential.

Further Training Provided:

Details:

- Hours: Full-time and part-time hours considered, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM or 8 AM - 6 PM.

- Routine: Primarily based at one setting, but the contract covers other locations. Flexible rota system in place.

- Wage: Competitive salary above minimum wage, reflecting your experience and qualifications.

- Pension: Pension scheme available.

- Qualifications: We support staff in gaining new childcare qualifications.
