Burmantofts Community Nursery is based just outside Leeds City centre to the east. We are a well-established nursery who deliver high standards of care and support to all who use our environment. Qualifications and Experience



All applicants

must

be

qualified to level 2 or above

in childcare and Education.

Have at least

1 years' experience

of working with children in early years, in a PVI setting.

Have paediatric Frist Aid certificate.

Have attended Safeguarding Children training and gained at least a level 1 certificate.

Position and working hours



Permanent Nursery Assistant/Nurse Position. Term time only, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours on alternate weekly shift patterns of earlies and lates. You are entitled to 45 minutes lunch break.

Hours and Salary equivalent for 37 hours Term Time Only



Starting at 13.05, working 37 hours per week, term time only, is a salary of 21,116.92

The maximum rate of 13.69, working 37 hours per week, term time only, is a salary of 22,151.90

The rate you will be offered depends upon your qualifications, experience, and responsibilities.

Interview information



Interviews are to be held through November/December, with a start date in January/February 2026.

The interview process will last for a minimum of 1 hour. The itinerary is as follows:

Arrival Time - Show around nursery

Around 30 minutes to an hour - Presentation and Interview with Nursery Manager and Deputy

Around 30 minutes to an hour- Stay and play session in nursery, with senior staff and team

Around 1 to 2 hours - Interview process ended.

The job offer is subject to application, interview, enhanced DBS check, and 2 full relevant references, 1 of which must be childcare related and your previous employer. Please note the successful candidate for this position must undergo an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check. An additional criminal record check (or checks if more than 1 country) will also be made on anyone who has lived or worked overseas in the last 5 years.
