We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our nursery setting. This role involves supporting children's development through engaging activities, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring their well-being at all times. A background in early childhood education and experience with children are essential to excel in this position.
Duties
Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities for parents and management.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behaviour, and any concerns.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment.
Assist with daily administrative tasks as required, including organising resources and maintaining cleanliness.
Skills
Proven management and leadership skills within a childcare or nursery setting.
Extensive experience working with children and in early childhood education programmes.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
Experience with nursery management systems is desirable.
Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation or home visits.
