We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and education to young children in a nurturing environment. This position requires strong management and leadership skills, as well as a genuine love for working with children. You will be responsible for creating engaging activities that promote early childhood development while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care and education within the nursery. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment that prioritises the needs of the children.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or outings.
