Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and your colleagues.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring confidentiality is upheld Support the management team in maintaining nursery standards, policies, and procedures Assist in the supervision of staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide a team Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or excursions Previous nursery experience will be considered an asset

Pay: 12.60 per hour
