Nursery Practitioner - Level 3

Hours:

Full-time (42.5 hours per week)

Salary:

27,479 / 12.40 per hour above National Minimum Wage

Location:

Parkway Day Nursery, Cropton Way Coulby Newham

We are looking for a fully qualified minimum

Level 3 Nursery Nurse

who is hard working, friendly, enthusiastic, flexible and willing to work well as part of a team and as an individual. Minimum of

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent,

must hold a Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, Safeguarding certificate, Previous experience preferable

Purpose of the Role

To provide high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Education

Deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development Observe, assess, and record children's progress using appropriate tools Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Support children with additional needs in partnership with external agencies

Environment & Safety

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly Set up and tidy away resources, encouraging children to help

Teamwork & Communication

Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver the EYFS curriculum Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to nursery improvement Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals Support trainee practitioners and share best practice

Requirements

Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification Experience working in an early years setting Strong understanding of the EYFS framework Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A caring, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
