Job Description



We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly early years setting in Manor Park, E12, working within the Baby Room. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting the care, development, and early learning of babies in a warm and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care for babies in line with the EYFS framework Support children's physical, emotional, and developmental needs Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment Carry out observations and contribute to learning records Work closely with colleagues and build positive relationships with parents Follow safeguarding, health, and safety procedures at all times

Requirements



Level 3 Early Years qualification Experience working with babies in a nursery setting (desirable) A calm, caring, and patient nature Strong communication and teamwork skills Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their development through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities



Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards. Supervising children during play, meal times, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being. Supporting children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care and attention. Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and behaviour. Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment focused on high-quality childcare. Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Ensuring the nursery environment is clean, organised, and safe at all times. Assisting with daily administrative tasks related to childcare documentation.

Qualifications



Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices. Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred. Experience with nursery management systems is advantageous. Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation or outings. A genuine passion for early childhood education and child welfare.
