Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children's growth and development through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's creativity, curiosity, and social skills. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's achievements. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment that supports the nursery's goals and values. Demonstrate strong leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff members and contributing to the overall management of the nursery. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards, safeguarding policies, and early years frameworks.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Previous nursery experience will be an advantage, along with management or leadership experience within a childcare environment. A valid driving licence is beneficial for potential off-site activities or outings with the children.
