Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for children in our nursery. This role requires a passion for early childhood development and the ability to engage with children effectively, fostering their growth and learning through play-based activities.

Duties

Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development in young children. Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming nursery environment. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating findings with parents. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the nursery space, ensuring all equipment is safe and age-appropriate. Collaborate with other staff members to develop a cohesive approach to child care and education. Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

Skills

Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in planning activities and maintaining records. First Aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
