Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our Baby Room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.

Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team environment that encourages professional growth and leadership. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Manage and implement daily routines, including meal times and nap times, ensuring that each child's needs are met. Provide a high standard of physical, emotional and intellectual care to the children within the nursery.

Requirements



A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and parents. Ability to drive initiatives within the nursery, demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary. A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education, with the ability to inspire young minds. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with best practices in early years education.
