We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for supporting the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills while ensuring their wellbeing.
Duties
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Provide high-quality care and supervision for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support children's development.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment that supports the nursery's objectives.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a structured yet flexible approach to childcare.
Drive initiatives that promote children's independence and confidence while encouraging positive behaviour.
Qualifications
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage small groups of children effectively.
A genuine passion for childcare and early years education.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
