Hear Ye, Hear Ye! A Whimsical Tale for the Next Brave Educator

Once upon a time, in the cheerful land of Sutton Coldfield, there stood a little kingdom called

Ducklings Nursery

. It was not the largest of kingdoms -- just 35 golden places -- but it was one of the most treasured, for it was filled with laughter, tiny footsteps, and the boundless imagination of young adventurers.

Now, the kingdom has sent out a proclamation far and wide:

They seek a noble soul, a Level 3 Early Years Educator, to join their fellowship.

This is no ordinary quest. The chosen one must possess the sacred scroll of NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or its magical equivalent). With it, you shall be entrusted to guide small heroes and heroines through their first tales of literacy, courage, and curiosity.

Duties of the Chosen Educator

To weave play, story, and wonder into each day, so that little ducklings learn with joy. To guard the kingdom with vigilance: watching over naptimes, snack times, and the occasional dramatic performance in the mud kitchen. To wield the enchanted lens of observation -- capturing the small triumphs of crawling, counting, and creating -- and record these tales for parents and guardians. To carry the banner of inclusivity, ensuring every young knight, fairy, wizard, and dragon feels welcome, seen, and celebrated. To honour the laws of safeguarding, for all children in this realm must be safe, cherished, and free to grow.
Special Quests

You may be asked to mentor apprentices (squires in training), to share your wisdom at staff councils, and to dabble in the great art of Ducklingo -- a spellbinding programme of early literacy, whispered to bring the gift of reading before a child turns two.
