Job Description

We are looking for Nursery Practitioner minimum level 2, either term time or all year round with in our nursery who'll be working as part of a professional staff team, promoting the high standard of care the nursery adheres to.

Purpose of post

To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the nursery. To give support to other personnel within the nursery To implement the daily routine in the base room To safeguard the well-being of all children within our care *

Duties and responsibilities:

To contribute to a programme of activity suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with the recommended government curriculum. To keep a proper record of achievement file including observations on your key children primarily for parents but also staff within the next room Work alongside parents of special and additional needs children to give full integration in the setting Support all staff and engage in a good staff team Liaise with and support parents and other family members To attend further training when necessary to meet all areas of the job description To attend ALL out of working hours activities such as training sessions, meetings, open days . To be flexible within working practices of the setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the setting such as preparation of snacks and meals, cleaning if equipment. Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled. Recording accidents on individual sheets Look upon the setting as a 'whole' where can you help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children. Ensure child is collected by someone known to the setting. To respect the confidentiality of information received. To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker Specific child care tasks The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child's stage of development linking to their development matters overview. To ensure meal times are a time of pleasant social sharing Washing and changing children as required, keeping an accurate record of relevant details Providing comfort and warmth to an ill child and ensure the appropriate action is taken To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development To be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 27,000.00 per year
