Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.

Duties



Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development across all areas of the curriculum. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's development and addressing any concerns. Manage daily routines, ensuring a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to thrive. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere, demonstrating leadership skills when required. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and contribute to a positive community presence.

Qualifications



Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3). Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage groups of children effectively while promoting positive behaviour. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
