Job Description

Role: Nursery Nurse Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day including 30 minutes paid lunch break, hours on a rota basis will be between 0715 and 1800

Unicorn Nursery is a well established busy nursery located in a privately owned building.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well motivated and dedicated individual to work in our small, friendly nursery team.
We pride ourselves on the caring, nurturing and fun ethos that our nursery is based on, therefore a professional caring nature and a passion for childcare is essential and with very strong links to our parents being a confident communicator is also important.
You must be hardworking, reliable, flexible and able to contribute to the planning and daily management of the nursery routine.
You will need to be able to work well under your own initiative and as part of a very well established team.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for appointment to this post which is paid for by the nursery.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality childcare and support to children in a nursery setting. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development. Collaborate with team members to manage daily nursery operations efficiently.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting Strong background in early childhood education Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children and parents Leadership and management abilities to oversee nursery operations Proficiency in English
