Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and your colleagues.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Create engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development accurately. Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed. Support the management team in implementing nursery policies and procedures. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3). Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is desirable for potential off-site activities or outings. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to providing the best possible care for children.
