Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their management and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages children's independence and confidence
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and daily activities
Support the organisation of nursery routines and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Lead small groups of children in educational activities, promoting inclusive participation
Assist with the organisation of nursery resources and maintain a clean, organised environment
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their developmental needs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 16,929.00-17,600.00 per year
Expected hours: 27.5 per week
