Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Woolton Village Day Nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a diverse group of children, and a drive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child's individual needs. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and sharing insights with parents. Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and leadership within the nursery setting. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring all children feel secure and valued.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A proactive approach to managing children's behaviour and promoting positive interactions. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
