Job Description

Dearne Valley Day Nursery is a popular, well-established setting rated Oustanding by Ofsted. We are situated in Wath Upon Dearne and offer childcare places to children aged between 0and 5 years, from 7.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Due to and increase in numbers we are looking to recruit a highly motivated practitioner to join our outstanding team. The successful candidate must hold either a Level 2 or a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have secure knowledge of the EYFS as well as the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning for children between 0-5 years.

The position is for 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30-6pm, various shifts are available and can be discussed with the sucessful candidate.

Job Overview

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a smooth flow of the day. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that is conducive to learning and exploration. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A full and relevant Level 2 or level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery experience for both children and families. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Dearne Valley Day Nursery is committed to a high level of Safeguarding Children. The successful applicant will be required to provide contact details for two references, including their past or current employer, a DBS check will also be carried out as standard practice.
