We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage daily activities will be essential in fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Duties
Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Supervise and support children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to manage the nursery effectively, sharing ideas and best practices for childcare.
Lead small group activities, promoting teamwork and social skills among the children.
Observe and assess children's development, keeping accurate records to track progress.
Requirements
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare is essential.
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Leadership qualities to guide small groups of children during activities while fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
Ability to manage daily nursery operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development through play-based learning.
A valid driving licence is an advantage but not essential for this role.
