Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. MUST BE LEVEL 3 QUALIFIED. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children aged from birth to five years.

Duties

Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure continuity of care. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a smooth flow of activities. Drive initiatives that promote positive behaviour and social skills among children. Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment that welcomes diversity. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Qualifications

Proven experience in childcare or working with children in a nursery setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting children or materials as needed.
