Join Our Outstanding Team as a Nursery Practitioner / Officer (Level 3+)

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner (Level 3 or above in Early Years/Childcare) to join our well-established nursery. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.

Hours:

Permanent, all-year round position. 20 hours per week minimum (can be flexible/increased for the right applicant)

Location:

On-site at First Steps Nursery School, Savage Lane, Dore, Sheffield S17 3GW.

: ASAP

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities tailored to children's individual stages of development. Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing information with parents and carers in a clear and supportive way. Build and maintain positive relationships with families and colleagues, contributing to a collaborative team culture. Support and mentor junior staff where required, promoting high standards of practice and professionalism. Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met. Contribute to the smooth daily running of the nursery and participate in staff meetings and training.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years/Childcare. Experience working in a nursery or early years setting. A proactive and reliable team player with a genuine passion for early childhood development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
