Nursery Practitioner
to join our friendly and professional team.
Applicants will need experience of working with children aged 0-5 and will have in-depth knowledge of the EYFS, the Statutory Framework and other relevant legislation. You will have experience of having your own key group of children and know how to support each individual child's learning and development.
You will:
provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
give support to other team members throughout the nursery
work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
applicants must have a minimum of level 2 qualification in Childcare and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area following the Early Years Foundation Stage and Development Matters
To keep records of your key children's development and learning journeys and share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
Liaise with and support parents and other family members
To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parent evening, fundraising events etc.
Person Specification
You
must
have experience of working with Early Years
You
must
hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification to work with under 5's
You
must
be familiar with the EYFS and 7 stages of learning
You
should
have experience of planning for a variety of ages
Be Passionate and motivated to make a difference
A Strong team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exemplary understanding of the EYFS framework
Knowledge of SEND advantageous
Being registered with DBS Update service is preferred
Holding an up-to-date Paediatric First Aid Certificate is preferred

Nursery Opening Hours - Monday to Friday 7.30am-6.00pm
Typical shifts - Full time 8 hours per day as per the rota.
