Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our outstanding team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in a nurturing environment. You will be responsible for fostering children's development through engaging activities while ensuring their safety and wellbeing. This position requires strong skills, along with a genuine love for working with young children.

Duties

Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development. Supervise and engage with children, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the nursery's educational programmes. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as nursery policies. Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and rest periods. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.

Experience

Proven experience working in childcare or nursery settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. leadership experience is advantageous, particularly in guiding junior staff or volunteers. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Previous nursery experience is highly desirable, along with a background in childcare or related fields.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
