We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our brand new nursery setting at the beautiful Hartley Farm. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development and learning through play-based activities.
Duties
Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, personal hygiene, and rest periods.
Work as part of a team to create a welcoming atmosphere for families and visitors.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
A relevant qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare).
Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
Strong understanding of child development principles and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to use initiative.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning journey.
Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment.
