Job Overview

Attached to the Wood Lane Community Centre, our nursery has a real community, family feel and the nursery staff and children have the opportunity to get involved with local projects and activities.

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Nursery Practitioner for a full time role, 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

Part time role available.

Responsibilities:

Be a "key-person" as appropriate, having responsibility for overall child's welfare and parent partnerships

To plan and implement the curriculum with use of the EYFS framework to support the age and needs of the children

Observe each child's progress and report on achievements using learning journeys

Develop positive relationships with parents/carer

Take a role in providing an environment where children value and respect different cultures, religion, language and disability and ensure that toys and games reflect this within the setting

Undertake a shared responsibility for Health, Safety and cleanliness throughout the Nursery

Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your manager

Essentials

Pediatric First Aid Training. Must hold qualification at NVQ level 3 Good knowledge of Ofsted standards and health & safety legislation.
