We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated Nursery Practitioner to join us during an exciting time of development at our beautiful rural nursery. We are an incredibly friendly and committed team, working in a unique setting with stunning outdoor space and brand new adjoining Early Years Forest school site - Little Meadow.

We aim to create a magical and nurturing environment, that's full of fun and variety. From music and movement, yoga and sing and sign sessions with our performing arts specialist, sports and games with our PE teachers, and farm and forest school sessions with our dedicated and passionate outdoor learning team, the curriculum at King Edward VI Nursery presents something special for both our children and the nursery staff alike.

King Edward VI Preparatory School is a thriving and happy co-ed independent school for pupils from age 2 to 11, and is the feeder school to King Edward VI, Southampton. The school occupies its own spacious 22-acre site on the outskirts of Romsey and enjoys the many benefits of being part of a through school, whilst retaining a unique identity as a rural nursery and prep school with a nurturing, family feel. It is a fantastic place to work with a warm, supportive and happy atmosphere and highly qualified and dedicated staff. We aim to be a beacon of inclusivity, where every pupil and staff member is empowered to achieve their full potential. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all areas of our Community and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an Early Years environment and have good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Having a full and relevant NVQ Level 2, 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare is preferable but not essential.

We offer a range of benefits including: competitive contributory pension scheme; generous annual leave of 31 days, rising to 36 days with service; reduction in school fees at King Edward VI Prep and Senior; free lunch, refreshments and onsite parking; Health Cash Plan; Christmas shutdown; three INSET days each year to facilitate high quality training opportunities.
