About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and driven
Quality & Training Manager
to support the professional development and performance of our teams across all settings.
You will support continuous improvement, inspire outstanding early years practice, and deliver engaging training that empowers our colleagues to grow, develop and succeed. You will also play a key role in shaping and monitoring the quality of teaching, learning and curriculum delivery across the group.
This role requires regular travel between nurseries, our head office, and occasional evening or weekend sessions to support operational needs and after-work development programmes.
You must hold a Train the Trainer qualification (or equivalent), enabling you to design and deliver engaging in-house training sessions, including safeguarding and DSL training across the nurseries.
Ideal Applicant
We are looking for someone who has:
Train the Trainer Certificate
Strong Early Years experience and knowledge of the EYFS
Assessor and/or teaching qualifications (or willingness to work towards)
A sound understanding of Ofsted requirements and quality standards
Experience coaching, training, or mentoring others
A passion for people development and supporting others to succeed
Ability to build productive relationships and motivate teams
Strong communication, organisation and planning skills
Willingness to undertake continuous professional development
Key Responsibilities
Shape the learning and development experience of St George's colleagues
Deliver engaging, relevant and effective training through in-person, online, group and 1:1 sessions
Mentor and coach staff at all experience levels, including those with barriers to learning
Support colleagues to embed best practice and develop confidence in their roles
Create high-quality training resources and development programmes
Develop, review and implement nursery curriculum aligned to EYFS and sector changes
Conduct quality observations, assessments and improvement visits across sites
Monitor the effectiveness of training programmes and quality initiatives
Stay up to date with sector developments, government legislation and best practice
Contribute to induction and onboarding programmes for new staff
Support with compliance and quality assurance processes across all settings
