We are a small group of Early Years nurseries in and around Bath seeking an experienced Nursery Recruitment and Training Lead. We have 4 beautiful settings situated in Banes. The successful candidate will work closely with our Managers and staff to support the best start for children. The candidate must have relevant early years experience and a level 3 qualification.
This role is pivotal in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our nurseries. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. As a Lead Recruitment and Training Manager, you will manage the recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring that we find the best candidates who align with our organisational values and mission. You will deliver ongoing Continuous professional development to our teams and run Parent Partnership workshops to support children and their families.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team .
Duties
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to attract qualified candidates in the childcare sector.
Manage the full recruitment cycle following all safer recruitment guidelines, including, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process.
Communicate effectively with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive experience.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in recruitment and early childhood education.
Utilise various sourcing methods to identify potential candidates, including social media platforms, job boards, and networking events.
Following appointment of new staff, complete all HR elements working to Safer recruitment guidelines. This will include completing enhanced DBS checks, references check and handing all information over to setting managers.

Working with setting managers you will complete new staff inductions including all training elements of the role and the follow through of the initial 6-month probation period.
Work with setting managers to develop staff practice and deliver training within staff meetings on areas of development identified. Liaising with outside agencies to plan delivery of training.
You will book and manage all compulsory training all staff are required to complete and the ongoing refresh of this training
Complete yearly Safer recruitment DBS checks on all staff across the business
Complete a monthly audit of the observations/ formative reports shared on the parent app and this will support identification of any gaps in a staff members knowledge
Alongside this you will support Parent partnership across all setting and create a hub of parent workshops which you will deliver 3 monthly across all settings covering topics such as potty training, supporting behaviour
Requirements
Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within the childcare or early childhood education sector.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Experience working with children or in nursery settings is highly desirable.
A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving results.
