We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee and nurture infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a supportive daycare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate space for young children, fostering their growth and well-being. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a nurturing attitude, and a commitment to early childhood education.
Monday - Friday 9am-3pm
Duties
Supervise and care for children in the nursery or classroom setting, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development
Monitor children's behavior and apply positive behavior management techniques
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to early childhood development
Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements
Document developmental milestones and maintain accurate records of children's activities and progress
Skills
Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings
Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
First aid certification is preferred; ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and understanding
Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques
Background in babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is advantageous
Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and classroom routines.
Level 4 or above in childcare
