Job Description

Duties include supporting the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.

To supervise staff and students in training and maintain a proactive and professional team.

To ensure all daily routines are adhered to and records kept up to date.

To support the team in planning and carrying out activities in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Ensure children get the best start in life by working in close partnership with parents/carers to develop independence, confidence and self-esteem, building children's resilience and well being.

Support staff development and work closely with other staff and professionals.

To conduct colleague 1:1's and room observations.

To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient manner.

To oversee an effective key worker system and support the team in being an effective key person.

Work as part of the senior management team. It is a supportive role that will including working directly with the childcare team in providing the children with the very best start in life.

The room leader will be in charge of the day to day running of their room and potentially in charge of the setting on the managers day off. This will be after after additional training. They will work closely with the other room leaders, the manager and the owner of the nursery.

A level 3 or above is required for the role.

Experience in a senior role is required.

Pay: 12.65-12.95 per hour
