to join our welcoming day nursery team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading their allocated room, supporting staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality early years provision in line with the EYFS framework.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days within our operational hours of 07:30-18:00.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team within your designated room.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities to support children's learning and development.
Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment at all times.
Oversee observations, assessments, and learning journals in line with EYFS requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed consistently.
Support junior staff through mentoring, guidance, and role modelling best practice.
Maintain high standards of organisation, cleanliness, and room presentation.
Requirements
Level 3 Early Years Qualification (essential).
Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursery setting.
Previous room leader or senior nursery practitioner experience is desirable.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative.
Passionate about early years education and child development.
