We are seeking a dedicated and motivated room Leader to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with experience working with children. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and maintaining high standards of childcare. The room Leader will play a vital part in supporting both team members and families, ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout their shift.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support team members during assigned shifts, providing guidance and motivation to ensure excellent childcare delivery
Coordinate daily activities within the nursery, ensuring programmes run smoothly and safely
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management to address concerns and provide updates on children's progress
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure environment for children and staff
Assist with planning educational activities that promote early childhood development
Manage administrative tasks such as attendance records, incident reports, and shift handovers
Drive company policies on behaviour management, safeguarding, and confidentiality
Support new staff training and ongoing professional development initiatives
Qualifications
Proven management or leadership experience within childcare or nursery settings preferrable
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Experience working with children of various ages; nursery experience is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or supplies when necessary
Childcare qualifications or relevant early childhood education certifications are advantageous
A caring attitude with a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children
