Pre School Room Leader | Full Time | 40 Hours Per Week
Salary: 27,560 per annum + Qualification Bonus: We value the dedication and expertise of our Level 3 Practitioners. Ramsey Day Nursery are looking for a Room Leader to come and join the Pre-School team in Owls working with our 3-5 year olds.
Our pre-school room is located in a separate bungalow building on the grounds of the nursery with free flow access across multiple intimate rooms and out to the extensive garden. The children build on their independence accessing their coats and welly boots or sun hats when they want to go out into the outdoor spaces, throughout rolling snacks and mealtimes supporting with self-serving, and accessing activities and resources based off their interests and choices.
As a leader within our team you will be working alongside passionate, friendly and welcoming staff. Our Pre-school has a total of 4 members of staff alongside an additional 2 dedicated SEN support who work with our children and families on a personal, bespoke basis ensuring all children can flourish and achieve in our care.

Our nursery is open from 7.30am-6.00pm - Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year and your shift pattern would be between these times.
Room Leader duties and responsibilities*:
Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality
Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency
Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff
Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met

Room Leader requirement and skills:
Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years - Essential
Over 6 months' experience working in a senior position - Desirable
Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential
