Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee daily activities within our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and childcare. This role involves supervising staff, engaging with children, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes developmental growth. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience and excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise nursery staff to ensure high standards of childcare and education are maintained at all times. Plan, organise, and oversee daily activities suitable for children's developmental stages. Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily routines. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting. Support the training and mentoring of new team members to uphold organisational standards. Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance tracking, and activity planning. Promote a positive team atmosphere through effective leadership and organisational skills.

Skills

Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting. Extensive experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare environments. Strong understanding of nursery practices, child development principles, and health & safety regulations. Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility when needed. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions.
Must hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
