We are looking to recruit for a full time

LEVEL 3 QUALIFIED

room leader to join our well experienced and expanding team. The appointed practitioner must share our love and passion for childcare, and providing the right environment for children to grow and flourish.

The right candidate will receive full support and training and will also have access to a large variety of online training accessible through Noodles Now.

Hours: 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday between hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm.

Purpose of Post

1. To provide a high standard of physical and emotional, social, and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery.

2. To give support to other personnel in the nursery.

3. To implement the daily routine in the room.

4. To direct and support staff, working collaboratively with the Deputy Manager, as agreed by the Nursery Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your care in conjunction with other staff, considering individual needs, stages of development, religious and cultural differences

2. To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children, for parents

3. Work with parents of children with additional needs to give full integration into the nursery

4. Support all staff and engage in a good team

5. Liaise with and support parents and other family members

6. To be involved in activities outside of working hours e.g., training, staff meetings, Christmas party etc.

7. To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed including to undertake certain domestic duties within the nursery, preparation of snacks, meals, cleaning of equipment etc.

8. Work alongside the deputy and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled

9. Look upon the nursery as a 'whole' where your help can be utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of all the children

10. Ensure some one known to the nursery collects the children

11. To respect confidentiality of information received

12. To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker

13. Specific Child Care Tasks:

- To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing.

- Washing and changing children as required

- Providing comfort and warmth to an ill child

14. To be aware of the reputation of the nursery and to uphold standards

15. To supervise staff in the Deputy's absence

Core training is provided through extensive CPD opportunities it would be desirable to have prior knowledge in Safeguarding Level 1 and 2, Paediatric First Aid, Level 2 Food Safety.

All applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of this application will be funded by Tiny Toez, All applicants are required to subscribe to the DBS Update Service and maintain the annual fee of 15.00.

It is an offence under section 76, Childcare Act 2006 to knowingly employ a Disqualified person within a childcare setting. Declarations are in place within the setting to ensure Safeguarding is paramount.
