We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Leader to join our team. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for supervising Early Years Assistants and ensuring the smooth running of your room. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong knowledge of the Early Years curriculum, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality childcare and education.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise Early Years Assistants, supporting them to deliver high-quality teaching and activities.
Ensure the room runs smoothly and effectively, maintaining a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Conduct and implement effective risk assessments.
Drive continuous improvement by evaluating feedback from staff, parents, and children.
Oversee planning and observations to ensure they meet curriculum standards and individual children's needs.
Support and train staff, including new starters, in both curriculum delivery and nursery routines.
Manage rotas to ensure ratios are maintained and staff are appropriately deployed.
Build strong parent partnerships by inducting families, discussing children's needs, and organising events.
Carry out key holder duties, including opening and closing the nursery when required.
Deputise for the Deputy Manager in their absence and take on designated responsibilities as directed by management.
Requirements
A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or higher).
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Previous experience leading or supervising within a nursery or early years setting.
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Flexible and reliable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
