About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our friendly and dedicated team in our brand-new, purpose-built nursery in Whetstone.

Our light, airy and welcoming building provides a wonderful space for children to learn and grow, with a wraparound garden designed to encourage exploration and play. We are located just off Whetstone High Road, within walking distance of Totteridge & Whetstone station and well served by local bus routes.

As Room Leader, you will take the lead in creating a nurturing, inspiring, and safe environment where children can thrive. You'll support your team to deliver outstanding care and learning experiences, following the EYFS and our play-based approach where children learn through discovery, curiosity, and positive risk-taking.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a small team of practitioners to deliver high-quality care and learning. Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS. Create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming room environment. Support, motivate, and develop your team. Build strong partnerships with parents and carers. Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times.
Requirements

Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above). Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner. Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development. Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills. A genuine passion for early years education. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
