Job Summary

The Nursery Room Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong management and leadership skills to guide staff and foster positive relationships with children and their families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among staff members. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and caregivers to support their needs and enhance their experience. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and provide feedback to parents. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to childcare. Organise activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through play. Supervise daily routines including meals, nap times, and outdoor play.

Skills

Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare setting. Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education environment. Strong knowledge of childcare practices and early childhood development principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential transportation responsibilities. A nurturing attitude with a genuine love for working with young children.
