Job Description

Principal Teachers are seeking a full-time Nursery Teacher for a school in the Thirsk area. The class consists of 13 children and this is a nurturing and creative role in early years education. This full-time role begins in January 2026 and has the possibility of developing into a permanent position.

Requirements

Recognised teaching qualification (QTS) Strong understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework High expectations for all pupils and a commitment to supporting every child to succeed Ability to work collaboratively as part of a staff team Confident in planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons Skilled in managing behaviour effectively and creating a positive learning environment Passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic about teaching young children
